A prestigious university in Dubai is seeking a highly qualified and strategic Finance Director to join their team. Job Summary:
The Finance Director will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the university. This role requires a strategic leader with expertise in financial planning, analysis, and management, ensuring that financial resources are aligned with the university’s goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the university’s mission and objectives.
- Budget Management: Oversee the preparation and management of the annual budget, ensuring accurate forecasting and effective allocation of resources.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to the university’s leadership and board, providing insights into financial performance and trends.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies, and implement risk management strategies to safeguard the university’s assets.
- Investment Management: Manage the university’s investment portfolio, making recommendations to optimize returns while minimizing risks.
- Financial Operations: Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury functions.
- Team Development: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of professional growth and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making and provide financial insights for strategic initiatives.
Employment Details:
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week
- Working Days: 5 days per week
- Duration: One year, subject to renewal
- Probation Period: 6 months
- Family Contract: Employee, spouse, and up to 2 children under 18 years old
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary Range: AED 25,000 – AED 30,000 per month
- Air Tickets: One per year for the employee, spouse, and up to 2 children under 18 years old
- Health Care Insurance: Provided for the employee, spouse, and up to 2 children under 18 years old
- Vacation: Provided
- Public Holidays: Provided
- Professional Leave: Provided
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional finance certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive financial experience, with at least 3 years in a senior management or director-level role. Experience within the education sector is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and data analysis.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
