Job Summary:
The HR Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the university's human resources practices and processes. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the university’s goals and ensure the well-being of its faculty and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the university’s vision and strategic goals.
- Talent Management: Oversee the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and development processes to attract and retain top talent. Implement training programs and professional development plans.
- Employee Relations: Foster a positive and inclusive work culture by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws.
- Performance Management: Develop and oversee performance appraisal systems to drive a high-performance culture.
- Compensation & Benefits: Manage salary structures, benefits programs, and reward systems to ensure competitive and fair compensation.
- Policy Development: Create and update HR policies, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and best practices.
- Compliance & Regulations: Ensure the university adheres to all UAE labor laws and regulations, including visa and residency requirements for employees.
- HR Analytics: Analyze workforce trends and metrics to inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Employment Details:
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week
- Working Days: 5 days per week
- Duration: One year, subject to renewal
- Probation Period: 6 months
- Family Contract: Employee, spouse, and up to 2 children under 18 years old
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary Range: AED 25,000 - AED 30,000 per month
- Air Tickets: One per year for the employee, spouse, and up to 2 children under 18 years old
- Health Care Insurance: Provided for the employee, spouse, and up to 2 children under 18 years old
- Vacation: Provided
- Public Holidays: Provided
- Professional Leave: Provided
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior management or director-level role. Experience within the education sector is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of UAE labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in HR software and data analysis.
